Groups can be an enjoyable and effective vehicle for change

Why a group?

Moving forward to achieve your goals is sometimes easier in a group setting. This can be daunting, as most people find it hard to imagine relaxing and exposing their vulnerabilities in front of others. The good news is that you don't have to; as with all my therapeutic work, the choice is yours. Experience has, however, taught me the power of group work, and many clients have reported how surprised they have been to make lasting progress.

It is important that each group has its boundaries, agreeing how it will function for best results - my role is to facilitate the work in a safe, therapeutic and confidential environment.

Groups are typically made up of 5 - 8 members (maximum 10), each of whom has a goal around a common focus. Choose from:

Please note: it is important to stress that focussed group sessions are not a substitute for 1:1 counselling or psychotherapy. If you need to explore deep-rooted matters which are too difficult to share in a group, you will be supported and signposted appropriately, in accordance with sound and ethical practice.
